Permanent Makeup For Eyebrows
Defined, Subtle & Soft
Defined, Subtle & Soft
Eyebrows are one of the most prominent facial features. They help to accentuate your eyes, frame your face, and express emotion. Ombré Powder Brows is an innovative permanent makeup procedure that is applied using a digital machine to yield soft and natural results.
This method creates pixelated dots in order to mimic powder filled brows with no harsh fronts or outlines, and is customizable to your existing brows, hair colour, and personal preference. The pigment that is implanted starts soft & light at the beginning of the brow and gradually gets darker towards the tail, resulting in the popular sought-after ombré effect.
This technique tends to last longer, is overall better for the integrity of the skin, and is suitable for all skin types. You’ll notice you look well-rested and younger with this instant eye-lifting permanent eyebrow treatment.

What is the difference between Microblading and Ombré Powder Brows?
Both techniques are unique and have its place with the right candidate. Microblading uses a manual hand tool to cut and push pigment into the skin, which can lead to scarring over time. Although Microblading appears crisp initially, it is not uncommon for those lines to eventually become blurred. The technique of Ombré Powder Brows uses a digital machine to inject pigment into the skin. It is less invasive and less traumatic for the skin, resulting in more wholesome results and better retention in the long run.
How long will it last?
Cosmetic tattoo procedures will not wash off, however, they will gradually fade over time and need to be touched-up. Although the tattoo may fade, they may not fully disappear. The average retention and duration of pigments in the skin range from 1-3 years. The rate of retention depends on multiple factors such as:
Remember, every skin is different. Results are not guaranteed as everybody is unique and heals differently. In order to maintain the colour and shape of your brows, it is recommended to schedule a touch-up every 12-24 months.
Does it hurt?
In an effort to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible, a medical grade topical anesthetic cream and gel are applied throughout the procedure. Keep in mind that pain thresholds vary from person to person, and small amounts of discomfort can be expected.
What are the benefits?
Cosmetic tattooing is ideal for both women and men. Since it heals soft and light, it gives the appearance of a natural everyday makeup look.
What’s included?
To ensure you are completely confident and satisfied throughout the procedure, every cosmetic tattoo appointment will include the following:
How do I prepare for my appointment?
IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER:
What will my appointment be like?
All cosmetic tattoo procedures are a two-step process which consists of an initial treatment followed by a mandatory perfecting treatment 6-8 weeks later.
The initial treatment will be longer than the perfecting treatment and starts with a consultation, at which point shape and colour are discussed. A design will be created that is measured according to your specific facial features and upon approval, the procedure begins.
Perfecting treatments are mandatory so that we can make minor alterations to the shape and colour of your tattoo or fill in areas that did not retain pigment as well as others during the healing process. Perfecting treatments also add to the longevity of your tattoo and MUST be scheduled within 6-8 weeks of your initial procedure. After the 8 week time frame, touch-ups will be provided and charged according to the amount of time lapsed from your initial appointment.
What should I expect after the procedure?
Toggle Content goes here
Immediately after your procedure, you can expect that your permanent makeup will appear to be darker and more pronounced than anticipated. Redness, swelling, and tenderness if any is normal and will subside. Gradually, your tattoo will lighten 30-50% during the healing process. Flakiness and some loss of pigment may occur and can be corrected at the perfecting appointment.
How long does it take to heal?
The healing process goes through multiple stages:
How should I care for my brow tattoo after the procedure?
How you take care of your newly tattooed eyebrows over the first 7-10 days will help in its healing, colour retention, final appearance, and longevity.
REDNESS/SWELLING IS NORMAL
The redness typically diminishes within 1-2 hours post-procedure. If any, the swelling can be managed with soft gel ice packs. Place soft gel ice packs (from refrigerator only) into plastic baggies before placing over swollen area in order to prevent any infection/moisture contact. Swelling is rare but will diminish 1-2 hours post-procedure.
DO NOT PICK SCABS OR FLAKES!
As the skin starts its natural healing process, you may experience some flaking and/or scabbing. Picking any flakes/scabs can cause loss of implanted pigment and/or scarring. Please refrain from touching tattooed area except when applying ointment (and only do so gently with a Q-tip). Some pigment may rub off, therefore you should take precautions to protect linens and towels. It’s also normal to see pigment on your Q-tip after applying ointment.
APPLY OINTMENT EVERY 4-5 HOURS
Apply ointment 3 times a day for 7 days. Do not allow brows to become completely dry or feel tight.
AVOID CERTAIN ACTIVITIES & DON’T USE SOAPS AND CREAMS
Pools, jacuzzis, saunas, tanning, excessive sweating, facials, hot yoga, and other extremely humid situations should be avoided for a period of at least 14 days or until the brows are fully healed. When washing your face, refrain from using soaps & creams on the brow area during the healing period. When showering, avoid putting your face directly under the shower-head stream. Do not get Botox/fillers for 4 weeks post-procedure. Skin products containing Retin-A, AHA, or any other kind of chemical peel must not be used directly on or near the tattooed area, as this will fade and possibly distort the colour of the brows. Sun block (SPF 50 recommended) should be applied over tattoos when in the sun.
FINAL APPEARANCE WILL TAKE 4-6 WEEKS
Do not panic! The colour immediately after tattooing will appear very sharp and dark but will soften and fade considerably as the healing process concludes. As with most operations and procedures, it must get worse before it gets better. The final appearance of the tattooed area should not be considered for at least 4-6 weeks after the final visit.
PERFECTING SESSION MAY BE REQUIRED
You may want to perfect or augment an area after the pigment has settled, however, this can only take place 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. A perfecting session is crucial because we try our best to match the desired shape and colour, but you body may present the healed results differently. It is also not uncommon for certain individuals with great retention of pigment to not need a perfecting session. It is your responsibility to book ahead to ensure that your perfecting session is within the 6-8 week timeframe of your initial visit, otherwise you will be subject to additional charges. In certain cases, more touch-ups may be required to achieve optimal results. It is important to remember that results vary by individual.
Do I need my perfecting session?
Perfecting sessions are complimentary if you are booking a new tattoo and they are recommended for everybody. At this session, we can make minor alterations to the shape and colour of your tattoo, or fill in areas that didn’t retain the pigment as well as others during healing. The perfecting session will also add longevity to the life of your tattoo. A perfecting session MUST be booked within 6-8 weeks of your initial appointment. After 8 weeks, touch-ups can be provided at an additional charge and is priced according to the amount of time lapse from the initial appointment. You are responsible for booking your perfecting session.
Please note, typically cosmetic tattoo procedures are a two-step process. However, since every skin is unique and heals differently, certain cases may require more than two sessions in order to attain the desired results. Results are not guaranteed and you are responsible for any additional touch-up sessions.
Will my own eyebrow hair have to be removed for the procedure?
Brow procedures are an enhancement of your natural eyebrow features. We work with your natural brow hairs, keeping as much as possible and only removing those which are necessary.
Should I be concerned of skin/wound infections?
Every tool that is used during the procedure is pre-sterilized, disposable, and disposed of after use. Proper infection control procedures are strictly adhered to in order to avoid cross-contamination. Skin/wound infections are possible during the healing process if you do not strictly adhere to the recommended aftercare instructions.
Can you cover up an existing cosmetic tattoo?
If you have existing cosmetic tattoos done by another artist, please send us a clear photo in natural lighting PRIOR TO BOOKING. Only certain existing work will be accepted once photos have been approved. The existing tattoo must be VERY faded in order to be worked over or corrected. Extra fees will apply if a colour correction is necessary. Photos can be sent to: info@beauteboulevard.com
